6 Months and Growing!

Well, people, we have made it to the halfway mark. My little Peanut is now 6 months old! Can you believe it? I can't! She's already trying to pull up, crawl, she's rolling, sounding out "words", it's amazing! I cannot believe that she has grown so much over the last 6 months, and she's still growing. I swear I thought I saw her grow an inch before my eyes last night while she was stretching. That's how fast she's growing. And man, is she heavy! I mean this kid is a big girl! But she's just so darn cute. Got to love the cuteness!

Well, I just wanted to post a short update on the cuteness that is the Peanut. Enjoy!

Okay, so we're still a little icky pooh!

So the Peanut and I are still a little under the weather, but better than before...sorry, just checked the scoreboard for the U of M game, and Memphis is up, for now, 80 to 68...anyway, back to us! Now we both have ear infections and fluid behind our ears. Apparently we are mirroring each other...I have the fluid in my right ear, her's the left. But she's not showing signs of being irritated, just as happy...with the exception of this afternoon when I was speaking with my mom. I could hear her in the background "screaming" for my mom. It was one of those "What do you think you're doing, not paying attention to me!" screams, and 'm not used to that...what the heck, MSN, why did you take the point away? Crazy computer! Anyway, we're both without a fever, so that's good. I'm still running on fumes here, tired as ever. I probably got about 24-26 hours of sleep last week, which is not nearly enough for a 7 day period.

Other than that, we're doing pretty well. I guess I'll go now...Memphis won, 81-70. Now I hope the Peanut and I will feel better.

We've been a little under the weather...

As I stated in my last blog, I had a cold, which turned into a freezer! Well, I was sick for a while, and it got kind of bad. To the point where I had a 102.6 degree temp. Wasn't feeling too great, and I still had to go to work on my birthday! By the way, happy belated birthday to me! I'm now 31, wow! I never thought I would be 31 and with a baby, but I am. And I am still love it...snotty nose and all. Yeah, we had our first bout with the sniffles this week. Actually, I wouldn't call it the sniffles because her nose was so full of snot, it was like pulling out a bucket of slime from that old show "You Can't Do That On Television". It was LOVELY! I swear, I nicknamed her Slimer because it was just so much of it. She laughed, so no worries. She also had a little ear infection, which no one would have known she had because she was being such a happy little girl. Well, she was happy until we started messing with her nose and feeding her pepto-bismol-like medicine. Goodness, I have never smelled such medicine-filled body fluids in my life! Good thing she's getting better. I couldn't handle cranky peanut for too long, and she couldn't handle mama being mean and giving her the pink stuff. But we got to bond over all of this...her sneezing in my face, me having to deal with it.

Anyway, I think that's about it for now. I am trying to figure out what, if anything, have I forgotten to do for the day. I've checked my calendars, completed all of my forms that I need to mail out, I just know that there is something else I need to do. I'll figure it out soon, I hope.

I 4 Months Old Now!

Yes, she is now officially 4 months old. Actually, she's been 4 months for a while now. I still can't believe it. She is such a big girl! Literally! She's almost 17 pounds, 25 1/2 inches long. This kid is going to be taller than I am. Well, that's okay. She'll either be a supermodel or a basketball player, or a tall cheerleader. Whatever she does, she'll be tall!

Anyway, I have a cold, so I'm going to bed now. G'nite all, and I'll write later!

3 months old and counting!

Going to be a short one tonight because I'm in pain, and I'm about to go to bed. It snowed today, and instead of my heading out into the mess that was inevitable to happen, I decided to stay home...and fall down the stairs and twist my ankle. So I avoided crashing my car, but still was injured to the point where now my knee feels like it's about the size of a softball.

Other than that, I got the chance to spend some time with my little Peanut. It was a good day, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. She's laughing and smiling more, and people, of course, are falling in love with her. They can't help it, and of course, neither can I. Well, other than that, I have been enjoying my little 3 month old bundle of joy. So good night everyone!

P.S.

Thanks, Crystal, for taking photos of us.

It's A New Year!

I've been slacking, I know, but with a new year comes work, and more work, and our "new year" in our office actually begins on February 2nd, so we've been like busy little bees getting out bills and stuff, and I've been busy filing forms and documents with the SEC and different secretaries of state, so yeah, haven't had a lot of time to post here. But I have been getting the chance to enjoy my little bunny! Can you believe that she's 3 months now? THREE MONTHS OLD, PEOPLE!! I'm still a little shock myself, that I now have a three month old daughter, and she's learned to scream...really loud! And then laugh about it! It's amazing! She has such a big beautiful smile. I'm enjoying every minute of it...and it's great that my mom calls me to tell me about some of the goofy things she does, and I can hear her in the background, cooing and "talking" to mom, or me when mom puts the phone to her ear. Oh, and I know that people don't like for their children to do this, but she sucks her thumb. I say let her do it, dang it! She's happy and at peace when she's doing it, so let her be! None of this taking it out stuff.

Anyway, that's about all for now. Nothing new within the last few minutes because she's now alseep. Oh! She really REALLY likes apple juice. Trying that now, not something to give her too often though, but she likes it. Well, it's bed time for me. Go check out my book blog...I'm about to head there really quick to post my progress. G'nite!

What a year!!

This has been one of the most stressful, yet the best, year ever. Who would have known that the year I turned 30 I would change jobs...TWICE...and then find out that I was pregnant! No one, not even myself, ever thought I would have children. Despite all of the changes that I had to go through this past year, I found that I was blessed to be able to go through it with such a great support group. I have the best family and friends that any person could have, and they were able to get me through all of these changes. Thanks to everyone for being such a great blessing to my life, and I am looking forward to 2009 being a continued blessing. By the way, Peanut just gave me the loudest milky burp that I could have every experienced. And it doesn't bother me at all! I am enjoying every bit of it, and will continue to do so...until she's about 80, then we're just going to have to get assisted living in here to help her out.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your support, and continue to look back here every once and a while to follow along with Peanut's adventures in growing up! Also, don't forget to follow my book blog. Sure, not much there now, but I'm going to track my progess up until I publish this darn book. Well, I'm going to bed, so HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
