Happy Halloween, and other things!

So, it was Peanut's first Halloween, and no, I didn't turn her into a peanut, like I originally wanted to do. Instead, mother and daughter had costumes that went together: I was a Ravenclaw student (for you that aren't quite familiar with that, it's the name of a Hogwarts house team in the Harry Potter movies), and she was a kitten, being that students can have pets and all. I had the wand, but not on me at all times. She, of course, was the cutest little kitten around. We didn't get the chance to go door to door, mostly due to me still being a little sore and not able to walk around for too long, but we did get to go over to my aunt's house and pick up some goodies there. Mostly it was stuff left by my cousin for the baby. Overall, it was a good night! Here are a few pics from the night. The others you can either view on flickr (about to load them there, ask me for the link later), or, if you're on my facebook page, go there as well.

P.S. I also did a few videos this morning, and I have a bonus one for you all from the day I had Peanut. Let me just say that you should ALWAYS say no to drugs. This is one of the few times that I will allow you all to see me looking like this...EVER!

Two Weeks and Growing!

So today, well, as of 12:06 pm, Peanut will be two weeks old. Isn't it amazing? She has her two week check up in the morning, and her umbilical cord, or the piece that was left, just fell off. Okay, I was a bit grossed out, which anyone would be if they have never experienced that. I mean when my niece's fell off, I was in school (a freshman in high school), so I had never experienced that at all. Last night (since it is after midnight), my nieces and I freaked out, but I got over it quickly. It still kind of freaks me out a bit.

Anyway, that's about all. Enjoy the pics! I know I enjoyed taking them.

My 1 Week Old Peanut

Sounds like a stale piece of food, doesn't it?

Well, as of yesterday, Peanut is a week old. Still a bit in shock, you know, but it's okay. I'm slowly but surely getting used to it. As I twittered earlier, I sit and watch her sleep. Of course I don't just look in her face the whole time, but I watch as she sleeps in her bassinet. It's adorable!

I just played a few songs on my iPod while she was sleeping. Some of the songs she cracked what I call her "gas" smiles: you know the ones where it looks like the baby just passed gas and there's a little smile that follows. Then there were others where she kind of looked like she cringed. She doesn't too much like Celine Dion, so I'll have to hold back on some of her songs.

I'm constantly waking up in the middle of the night and finding her in different "poses". I call them poses because I'll find myself snapping a picture of her in whatever position she's in. In this latest one, I thought it was interesting that it looks like she's thinking, trying to figure out ways to keep me awake, of course.

Oh, yesterday, my whole purpose of doing this blog: she had her one week check up. Everything is fine, and of course, and she is advance in her weight and size (length wise). Would you think it would have been any other way? Not I! I mean this kid is turning over onto her side already. What's next, she's going to start walking in a few weeks? HA! Hey, it could happen! May be not in a few weeks, but she could start walking early, like I did. I mean she did come out of my body, so I'm pretty sure she may take on several of my traits. She's already frowning in her sleep, like me, and the hand over the head thing, all me.

Okay, so I feel like I rambled enough. I need to check her diaper for poopies, and then take a nap myself. You may be asking yourself "Do you think you'll be able to get to sleep after disturbing her from her resting state?" and I say yes. I have magical powers! So good night all! Love, hugs and kisses!

I think, therefore I am!

P.S.
Just got a call from the lady that was working with me and the whole breastfeeding thing while in the hospital. I thought it was kind of sweet...almost made me cry a bit!

P.P.S.
I tried on a few pair of my heels today, and I can wear them now! My feet are shrinking back to normal, so far!

Not Only is she Stubborn...

She's a little fast. Say hello to my little baby girl, Michaella Jeanee. So I wasn't really expecting her to come out so soon, but she fooled us all. I went into the hospital Tuesday night with contractions. They were stong enough to admitt me in, but that wasn't done until the next morning (Wednesday morning). We got the call from my doctor that we were going to do a C-Section. We got all prepped up - oh, I failed to mention that she stood crooked in my belly, causing a diagonal head to toe look on my belly. It was absolutely weird. Oh, I also failed to mention that I hadn't dilated not once after being in the bed for 6 hours of being poked and prodded.

So after being prepped, I got all kinds of cool meds put into my system. (oh, if things seem to go off balance here, it's because I'm really tired, and I tend to trail off and sleep for a sec). And after about 5 minutes of clipping and burning, I had/have a cute little baby girl! Isn't she just lovely?!?!?!?!

Anyway, gotta go and feed the baby. Enjoy!

Just when I'm nearing the end...

A stretch mark appears. Not just one...several. No, you can't see them (even if I try to show them to you), but I can. I know they are there. I see them. I mean I haven't had one stretch mark on my belly, but when the little lady decided to drop lower, they appeared. Oh, well...I guess all I can do is just live with them. But I just wanted to fuss for a second.

Now...where's the apple pie my mom made?

So, it's a date!!

Okay, so for the last few days, I have been back and forth to the doctor's office, getting ultrasounds and checked for being dilated. Still not dilated. So it has been settled: on October 21st, we will say hello to my little Peanut. Chick is already measuring 7lbs 8oz. So lord knows how big she'll be when she finally makes it here. So get ready, world...she'll be here in about a week and a half!

Okay, just a little follow up...

So that most of you won't worry, I was in the hospital for a bit yesterday. I had been cramping for a few hous prior to going to the hospital. Most of it was from the contractions (yes, I am having contractions). So I ended up going to the hospital for about an hour or so. My big booty baby's heartbeat is strong, and of course, she is still breeched. I haven't dilated uet, so the contractions were not strong enough to where the doctor wanted to keep me in the hospital. So everything is fine. I'm am now considered full term, so between now and the 25th of October, we could be welcoming the Peanut into the world. So be on alert people. I will probably be sending a bulk of you guys a mass e-mail letting you know that I'm in labor and the baby is on the way.
