Alright, so I don't know yet, okay?

I went to the doctor last Wednesday to have my ultrasound. I was hoping to find out, for certain, whether peanut is a boy or a girl. Of course, I know it's a girl, but I just wanted confirmation. Sure, if it's a boy, I wouldn't be upset at all, not one single bit. I'd love him just as much as I would any child I carried for a long time. But anyway, went in for the ultrasound, and the ultrasound only showed peanut hiding behind the umbilical cord. Just like one of my children, to peak-a-boo and to leave everyone guessing as to whether or not I have a boy or a girl tickling my insides. And yes, I can feel the movement now. It's so cool!

Anyway, that's just about it, with the exception of me waiting to hear if I got a new job at another firm. So that's all that's been happening in the adventures of Mel Mel and Baby Peanut.

So In Two Weeks...

I should find out if we're going to have a little baby tinkerbell, or a baby peter pan. I went in this morning for my monthly check-up and my doctor set me up for an ultrasound in about two weeks. Well, she wanted to set me up, but the place where they do the ultrasounds, the system was down. So I'm going to have to call tomorrow to see if they've got the appointment set up. I am so ready to find out what baby peanut will be. Only one thing: baby peanut has to cooperate in order for us to find out what baby peanut will be.

Anyway, I'm tired. It's been a long weekend, with baby showers and birthday parties. So I am going to go to bed early. Good Night Everyone!

It's All Greek To Me!

Yesterday I went to Greek Fest. I go every year because it's just so much fun to do. Great food, great music, seeing people from the old workplace without having to go there, it was wonderful! Baby peanut, I have a feeling, had a great time. As the music was playing, I could feel flutters in my tummy, as if she/he liked the music. Who knows, may be peanut was trying to find some comfy spot, but either way, she had no where to go.

Anyway, I decided to take my sister-in-law and my nieces, who also enjoyed it. I'm quite happy that they did because it was something different for all of them. I, of course, will be going back next year. And next time, I will have baby peanut with me to enjoy the fun!

Now, let me share a little story with you that my mother told me yesterday. And yes, this is true...

My mom went to the mall yesterday to find an outfit for today. You see, my oldest brother and his wife were going to take the mothers out for dinner, so mom felt it was necessary to find something nice to wear. So of course, she went to Wolfchase to find something nice. Well, she was walking around on the second floor, near Pac Sun and the Buckle, where I used to work. While she was walking around, she was within earshot of a mother and her daughter, and possibly one of her daughter's friends. My mom thought they were no more than 13 or 14 years old. And of course, being teens, they were wearing matching outfits, almost: converse sneakers, leggings, and some other get-up my mom didn't quite described. Anyway, the shorter teen of the two was wearing the hightop sneakers while the taller one was wearing a calf-high pair of converse. Now, I can only imagine what these two looked like, but apparently, based on the conversation, these kids were somewhat happy with their outfits. I say somewhat cause my mom said the shorter of the two was very upset with her mother that she didn't get the pair of converse shoes that were just like her friends. Of course the mother was like "I got you the pair that I thought you would like, and her mother got the pair she wanted her daughter to have". The child, of course, did not think well of this, so she continued and said "But I told you I wanted those, not the ones I have on! I told you I wanted those!" Not I asked for, but I "TOLD". Now, if this was my mom, I know that I would have been embarassed big time for "telling" my mom what I wanted, and arguing with her in public. So my mom, she said this woman did something so unforgettable. She said to the young short one "Okay, then, if you don't like them, take them off!" And the child did it. Now I don't know what this child was thinking, may be that mom was going to take the shoes back right then and there, but if my mom would have told me to take off my shoes, I wouldn't. My whole tone would have changed, I would have apologized, and refrained from talking like an idiot. But no, this kid took off her shoes. And what did this woman do? She threw them over the railings to the first floor. And of course, this child was embarass. Mom said she was screaming "I can't believe she did that! I just can't believe she did that!" Man, I laughed. I would have loved to have been there to see that so that I could have given that woman a huge hug! My mom said she giggled and just laughed, as she pretended to be interested in a pair of heels at the Buckle. All I have to say about that is that finally, a parent who isn't afraid to take any crap from their spoiled brat of a child.

I so wish I was there to witness that! Happy Mother's Day!!

Better than Glamor Shots!

So yesterday, I had a photo session with one of my bestest friends at the Botanic Gardens(check out Cee Cee's photo blog here). Now, she has a natural eye, and to be able to make me look good in a photo, it's takes a lot of talent. So I thank her for taking the time to want to take pictures of me in my second trimester.

It was exciting! Oh, and Crystal, I stole some of your pictures...especially my favorite one.

Thanks for taking such wonderful pictures! Can't wait to see the others.
