A Baby Bird's Eye View

Okay, so I said I would post pictures from the new office. Technically, this isn't from my office, being that I don't get to see the outdoors from my office, but at least I get to see it, even after I walk out of my door.

So check it!

All of these views were from the training room, my 3 days of training while I worked. Most of it consisted of learning the systems used in our offices, learning Word...yes, I had to do a tutorial on Microsoft Word, and trust me when I say I may know our regular, everyday use of Word, but this company's Word is a whole different animal.

Anyway, week two went really well. Peanut was good little baby, even with all of the kicking and movie she did every single day. It was like clockwork! I get up in the morning, get to work, and the next thing I know, while eating, Peanut wiggles and moves and hicups like mad! It's fun! It keeps me going...I'm filing or typing away, and Peanut is like "Okay, mama, I think I'll yank on this for a while..." and there I am, with Peanut yanking, me either cringing, cause sometimes it hurts when she yanks, or I'll laugh when it's more of a wiggle or swim time, or playing soccer with my insides.

So basically the week went by pretty quickly. That's a difference from my other jobs, when the weeks seem to creep by. I finally got to go to a restaurant that I've always wanted to go to, but was too broke to go (still was too broke to go to this one, but it was business related, so someone else footed the bill). Went to Texas de Brazil, and yes, they carried meat on swords throughout the place. I never had so much beef in my life! Seriously! I'm not a big beef eater, but I had a few slices. Peanut was happy, and as always, made sure I dind't eat too much, which wasn't such a bad thing. And I had my share of chicken, with bacon wrapped around it. Very tastey in deed!

Overall, it was a good week. One of the attorneys I work under (the main one) gave me a book to read that will help me to understand fully what I will be doing. It's mostly about corporate securities and such. The thing is, it's really a refresher from what I learned in the master's program. Glad he gave me that book so that I can try to recall what I've learned, and finally put it to good use.

Okay, now it's really late, and I need some sleep (actually, I've been sleeping all day, so it's my own fault). Just one more, well, two more pictures, before I head to bed. The following picture is of an invention created by my uncle. Can you guess what it is?

I'll give you a hint: they used to help heat up your home, or water supply, and now, they grill your food. Yes, I have an uncle that can build just about anything out of about anything. He built a car once, out of old scraps. My family and I used to drive it for a spell (and once lived out of it, ask me about that story one day). He can also build computers from old scraps, as well as being a great musician (built his own studio).

And the next one, just a little photo of my cousins and I from last weekend's reunion. The one to my left in the picture (she was actually on my right), she just had her son last month. Just cute as ever!

That's all for now. I'm sleepy. Good morning to you all!
