My Big Girl!

Long time, no write, about the love of my life! As of now, she is 29 months (if you all are still counting the months). I say she's a grown woman, but I could be wrong. She is nothing more than a ball full of energy, and I am still enjoying motherhood. We have a new person in our lives right now, and I'm hoping that he stays around for a very, very, VERY long time. Peanut seems to like him, so I guess that's a great sign. Other than that, I split my toe open trying to keep up with her. Well, sliding down the stairs, but I'm not going to go into the whole "I'm a grown up, I should have known better" lecture. Let's just say it won't happen again. Anyway, back to the grind. I promise to keep up with the blog and keep everyone updated on the wee one! For now, enjoy the picture!

I am SO behind!

So the most magnificent little person turned 2. We spent the last year going through so many different milestones, I enjoyed it!

I'm a Slacker!

I have neglected to post anything on this blog in almost a year...well, less than that. I almost have a two year old running around here, and I have nothing to show you guys! Within the coming weeks, I will catch you all up on the creature that is Michaella Jeanee!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAELLA!

Yes! Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of the birth of the greatest kid EVER! Well, to me she is the greatest kid ever, so there! I woke up this morning, got ready for work, and when I went into the room, there was this little person, just sitting up in the bed, looking just as cute as ever. I smiled and said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!", and she gave me the biggest smile back, and did her little dance. It's the cutest little dance, and it makes me smile when I think about it. Goodness, I am blessed to have such a wonderful little girl! So tonight, we celebrate with family. This weekend, we celebrate with family and friends. Happy Birthday, my little bunny rabbit!

It's October...You know what that means...

October 1: That means we have 14 more days until the big day. What day is that, you ask? Well, let me tell ya: it's the day my little pumpkin celebrates her one year of being on this planet! Yes! She will be 1 on the 15th, and can you say I'm excited! I would say we, but she doesn't know what's going on about this whole birthday thing. It's more for my benefit and satisfaction than anything, and I can't wait! I am uber excited, people! Uber excited!

AHHHH! I'm 11 Months Today!

That's right: she is an 11 Month Old Monster! Not really a monster, but she is 11 months old. I can't believe it one bit, really. I mean I just gave birth to her. I'm looking at her pictures, looking at how tiny she was, and now, she's like baby gigantor! I just love it! And now she's really walking! I mean this morning, she crawled towards me, bent down, and stood up on her own! She did it only once, but once was enough for me. It's just so amazing to watch her progress! I can't wait to see what's next!

10 Months and a few weeks...

Well, people, it’s time for another update. We are at the 10 month, 3 week mark, although most of the e-mails I’ve been receiving concerning baby updates are telling me she’s 11 months old. Okay, sure she’s 45 weeks, but it was just August 15th about a week or so ago. Let me enjoy her 10 months, please.
Anyway, the progress: we have teeth! And when I say we have teeth, I mean we have teeth. Two at the top and two at the bottom. We’ve gone through two shredded nipples so far…well, one and a half. I don’t know if she’s completely destroyed her other one today, yet. She’s chewing on everything, which I understand. Her little gums are sore, and chewing probably helps sooth things. But mommy’s fingers are not chew toys. That hurts!
Oh, and she took a few steps. We’ve all experienced the walking thing. She walked to me, mom, dad, my brothers, my nieces and my sister in law. So we can all bask in her first-ness together. But she still has to realize that stepping on her feet will not help to propel her forward, without falling flat on her face. She’s getting there though, so I’m going to enjoy this moment, even though I’ve been warned that she will so start running. I’ll deal with it.
Other than that, looking forward to the birthday. Sure it’s less than two months away, but still I need to prepare for it. This is a huge milestone for us both! So that is all, for now. I am just so excited for my little Peanut!
